  • 1. Satukan gula dan sirap jagung dalam periuk kecil berdasar tebal. Letakkan di atas api perlahan dan kacau hanya sehingga gula mula larut dan campuran menjadi cair serta jernih, 2 hingga 3 minit.

  • 2. Naikkan api ke sederhana dan masak tanpa mengacau selama 4 hingga 6 minit, sehingga sirap mencapai tahap pekat dan berkilat serta menunjukkan bacaan 118°C pada termometer digital. Sirap sepatutnya jatuh dalam aliran tebal dari sudu.

  • 3. Angkat dari api dan biarkan gelembung reda selama 30 saat. Sudukan atau paipkan sirap ke dalam acuan atau ke atas dulang beralas dalam satu bahagian kecil.

  • 4. Biarkan gula-gula mengeras pada suhu bilik selama 8 hingga 10 minit, sehingga pejal apabila disentuh dan legap sepenuhnya dengan permukaan licin.
