Metode


  • 1. Plaas die aartappelskywe vir 2 minute in ’n bak koue water, dreineer dan deeglik en droog dit heeltemal af met papierhanddoeke. Die skywe moet vry van oppervlakvog wees voordat dit gebraai word.


  • 2. Verhit die plantaardige olie in ’n swaarbodemkastrol tot 175°C. Handhaaf hierdie temperatuur deurgaans tydens die braai; die olie moet aktief wees, maar nie rook nie.


  • 3. Braai die aartappelskywe in ’n enkele laag vir 3 tot 4 minute, en draai soos nodig, totdat hulle liggoud, bros en nie meer sterk borrel nie. Haal hulle onmiddellik uit en laat op papierhanddoeke dreineer.


  • 4. Geur die skyfies met die sout terwyl hulle nog warm is, en skud liggies sodat die sout eweredig kleef. Die voltooide skyfies moet droog, styf en fyn geblaas wees.
