  • 1. Panaskan tortilla jagung dalam kuali kering di atas api sederhana selama 20 hingga 30 saat bagi setiap sisi, hanya sehingga lembut dan sedikit harum. Kekalkan ia hangat dan lentur; ia tidak sepatutnya menjadi kering atau rangup.

  • 2. Panaskan semula daging lembu berperisa dalam kuali yang sama di atas api sederhana selama 2 hingga 3 minit, kacau sekali atau dua kali, sehingga panas sepenuhnya dan sedikit berkilat. Daging lembu itu sepatutnya lembap, padu, dan dipanaskan sekata.
