  • 1. Bilas beras basmati dalam beberapa kali tukaran air sejuk sehingga airnya menjadi hampir jernih. Toskan dengan baik dalam penapis selama 2 minit. Ini menyingkirkan lebihan kanji pada permukaan dan mengekalkan butiran yang berasingan.

  • 2. Satukan beras, 2 g garam, dan 260 g air di dalam periuk. Didihkan perlahan di atas api sederhana, kemudian segera tutup dan kecilkan kepada api paling perlahan. Masak selama 12 minit tanpa mengangkat penutup.

  • 5. Perasakan ham dengan 1 g garam dan 1 g lada hitam. Kacau selama 15 saat supaya bersalut sekata, kemudian alihkan dari api.

  • 6. Gemburkan nasi perlahan-lahan dengan garpu, kemudian gaulkan masuk ham dan sebarang jus dari kuali. Gaul hanya sehingga sekata; butiran nasi mesti kekal utuh dan berasingan.

    Timbunkan nasi secara ringan dalam mangkuk cetek atau pinggan yang hangat, biarkan ham kelihatan jelas di seluruh hidangan dan bukannya tenggelam ke dalam gumpalan padat. Hidangan siap sepatutnya menampilkan butiran nasi yang bersih dan berasingan, diselang-seli dadu rangup yang berperisa.
