  • 2. Add the distilled vinegar, corn syrup, salt, and onion powder. Whisk steadily for 1 minute, scraping the bowl once or twice, until the ketchup is perfectly smooth and uniform.

  • 3. Taste and confirm the balance: the first impression should be sweet, followed immediately by acidity, with a clean salted finish and no raw onion edge.
