Peach Edition Sugarfree Sparkling Energy Drink

Headnote

This is a precise, chilled sparkling drink built on clean acidity, restrained sweetness, and a clear peach profile. Its character depends on balance: bright at first, linear in the middle, and crisp to the finish. Served properly cold, it should taste taut, lifted, and impeccably refreshing.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 0 minutes
Total time: 5 minutes
Difficulty: Easy

Equipment

Digital scale
Mixing jug
Long spoon
Fine mesh strainer
Chilled serving glass, 300 g capacity

Ingredients

Water, chilled: 225 g
Citric acid: 2 g
Carbon dioxide: 15 g
Taurine: 1 g
Acidity regulator: 1 g
Caffeine: 0.08 g
Sweetener: 0.4 g
Peach flavor: 0.8 g
Preservative: 0.2 g
Vitamin B3: 0.02 g
Vitamin B5: 0.01 g
Vitamin B6: 0.01 g
Vitamin B12: 0.00001 g
Color: 0.0005 g

Method

  • 1. Place the chilled water in a mixing jug. Add the citric acid and stir for 30 seconds, until fully dissolved and the liquid is completely clear.

  • 2. Add the taurine, acidity regulator, caffeine, sweetener, peach flavor, preservative, vitamin B3, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, and color in that order. Stir gently for 1 minute, scraping the base of the jug, until the mixture is uniform and no visible particles remain.

  • 3. Strain the liquid through a fine mesh strainer into a clean chilled vessel to ensure a polished finish.

  • 4. Add the carbon dioxide and stir very briefly for 10 to 15 seconds, just enough to integrate without losing excessive lift. The drink should be bright, lightly effervescent, and clean on the palate.

  • 5. Transfer immediately to the chilled serving glass and serve at once.

  • Plating and serving

Serve in a chilled clear glass to preserve the color and effervescence. The surface should show a fine, active sparkle, with a pale peach hue and a clean, disciplined finish.

    Professional notes

Temperature is critical; the drink must be well chilled before carbonation to preserve lift. Add the carbon dioxide last and handle it minimally, or the texture will flatten. The finished drink should read crisp, lightly sweet, and sharply refreshing, never heavy or syrupy.
